Saint Leo University offers students a variety of degree programs. Its classes can be taken online, at its Florida campus or through hybrid programs combining both formats. With several fully online business degree programs and 18 continuing education centers in seven states, Saint Leo is convenient for students nationwide.


Saint Leo University dates back to 1889, when it opened as Florida’s first Catholic institution of higher education. It first ventured into distance education in 1973, when it began offering degree programs on military bases. It opened its Center for Online Learning in 1999, and began offering its first online degrees that year. Although its physical campus serves about 2,000 students, its total enrollment exceeds 15,000.


Saint Leo University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission on Colleges. Its business school is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.


The Saint Leo business curriculum provides degree paths at four levels— associate, bachelor’s, master’s and graduate certificate.

Associate of Arts: Saint Leo’s online associate degree in business administration provides the foundation for a business career or a steppingstone to a higher business degree. Saint Leo’s liberal arts based program is complemented by courses in business computer skills, accounting, business law, economics, marketing and management.

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration: Saint Leo’s online bachelor’s degree in business administration builds on an understanding of business fundamentals and provides students with a degree that covers accounting, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, human resources and international business. Saint Leo offers online Bachelor of Arts degrees in business administration with three specializations: accounting, management and marketing. Its school of business also offers online Bachelor of Arts degrees in accounting, human resources management, and international hospitality and tourism management.

Bachelor of Science: Geared less toward general business course work and more toward specific business-related fields, Saint Leo also offers online Bachelor of Science degrees in computer information systems and health care management.

MBA: Saint Leo offers online Master of Business Administration degrees in several specializations. The advanced business programs provide an in-depth look at the business world through the lens of specialized fields. Students at Saint Leo can earn an online MBA in general business, accounting, health care management, human resource management, information security management, marketing or sport business.

Graduate Certificates: Saint Leo offers online graduate certificates for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree and would like to advance their education without pursuing a master’s in business administration. Students can earn online certificates in accounting, health care management, information security management and marketing.


Saint Leo University offers rolling admissions and six start dates throughout the year.

Students seeking to enroll in an online undergraduate program at Saint Leo must complete six steps:

  • Fill out the online application
  • Submit the one-time application fee
  • Provide proof of high school graduation by official transcripts, a notarized copy of transcripts or a notarized copy of a high school diploma or GED certificate
  • Submit official academic transcripts
  • Provide scores for applicable standardized exams, including Advanced Placement and College-Level Examination Program tests
  • Submit professional training documentation for consideration of academic credit

Students seeking to enroll in an online graduate program at Saint Leo must complete seven steps:

  • Fill out the online application
  • Submit the one-time application fee
  • Furnish a resume showing five or more years of progressively responsible work experience
  • Provide two professional recommendations
  • Write a 250-word personal statement
  • Submit a transcript release form
  • If students did not earn at least a 3.0 GPA in their last 60 hours of undergraduate credit, or do not have at least five years of progressively responsible work experience, they must submit GMAT scores.
