Baker is the largest independent college in Michigan and provides one of the most extensive online educational programs in the United States. Students may pursue their degrees online or at nine campuses in six branches. All offer flexible schedules for students who are also working full time.

Baker College traces its roots to two institutions—one of which was launched in 1888—that were formed to provide training for students to benefit their employers. Despite its growth, Baker has stayed true to its focus of providing students with solid training in business fields.

Baker College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Its business curriculum is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). Other programs are accredited by specialist groups.

Baker College online offers degrees and certificates at the associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels in areas such as business administration, information technology and computer science.

Baker College Online: Undergraduate requirements vary by the type of student. The school follows a “right to try” policy, which means that all applicants who have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent are accepted. See the directions on the school website to apply.

Baker College Online: Graduate students must submit official transcripts, a personal statement and letters of recommendation. If they would like, they can supply official test scores.
