ASU Names New Dean of Business School –

Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business has announced the naming of a new dean.

Amy Hillman, who has served as executive dean since 2009, will be replacing retiring dean Robert Mittelstaedt, whom will remain as dean emeritus and professor of management.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead a terrific group of faculty, staff, students, alumni and our friends in the business community forward,” Hillman said in a press release. “The W. P. Carey School of Business is on a steep trajectory toward becoming one of the world’s finest institutions committed to making meaningful contributions to the lives of our stakeholders and also to the future of business practice.”

Previously, Hillman has taught at numerous universities, as well as played a significant role in encouraging entrepreneurship at W.P. Carey School of Business. She will become dean effective March 1, 2013.

Arizona State University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the W.P. Carey School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
