Money Hunt: American Legion Oratorical Scholarships

The American Legion National Oratorical Contest is underway. In order to participate, eligible high school students under the age of 20 must speak for eight to 10 minutes about aspects of the U.S. Constitution, with emphasis on duties and obligations of citizens to the U.S. government.

There will be a winner from each state and each that is certified and participates in the first round of the national contest will receive a $1,500 scholarship. Those advancing past the first round will receive an additional $1,500 scholarship. The overall national winner will receive an $18,000 scholarship, second place gets a $16,000 scholarship, and third place will earn a $14,000 scholarship.
