MSU Adds Online HR Certificate –

Michigan State University (MSU) is adding a new certificate program to its other online offerings.

The Master Certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management, which will be offered by MSU’s Broad College of Business through MSU’s partnership with University Alliance, is fully online.

The certificate is designed for human resources, business unit, and organizational managers. Students will take the following required courses: Human Resource Management, Compensation and Reward Management, and Workforce Management and Development, as well as one elective course.

The program consists of four eight-week courses, in which students will learn how to attract and retain talent, efficiently develop and execute compensation strategies, develop strategies to maintain positive relationships between employees and managers, and manager human resources regulatory issues.

Classes begin in Jan. 1, 2013.

Michigan State University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
