StraighterLine Partners with Maryland U –

StraighterLine, a company that offers students online courses for college credit, has announced a partnership with the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).

Through the partnership, UMUC students can take freshman and introductory-level classes offered by StraighterLine and possibly save thousands of dollars.

“UMUC has been the standard setter for public, online education – especially for military students,” Burck Smith, CEO of StraighterLine, said in a press release. “UMUC’s commitment to affordable pathways to college is evident in its partnership with us.”

UMUC is an online university offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in several fields. The school, which serves more than 92,000 students, is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
