Josh Kopelman is a partner of First Round, a venture capital firm, and is also a successful entrepreneur in his own right. Kopelman co-founded Infonautics Corporation in 1992, an Internet information company, and founded Half.com in 1999, an online business selling used books, movies, and music, which was bought by eBay in 2000. He is the inventor of eight patents on Internet technology. Kopelman earned his bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurial management and marketing from The Wharton School at the University of Philadelphia in 1993. He was also the recipient of the Ernst and Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award for the Greater Philadelphia region in 2000.
